It depends on what he has in his website, I deed. I like the more honest approach of "Hey, I need your help with this endeavor" or if you'd go the other route, at least do the warm up few weeks before.
I don't talk to my friends too much, but on occasions I need their help and I always feel a bit shitty doing so. However, on most occasions I do the like button or share, as it such a small thing for me to do, but could do alot for them.
I even watch the adds on my favorite YouTube channels for at least 20 seconds so they'd get that coin.
